I guess I’ve been more stressed lately than I realized. I had my first appointment with the psychiatrist today. At least I thought I did. I went there and was told that no, my appointment is actually tomorrow. Instead, I was supposed to be at the cardiologist getting a cardiac monitor strapped to me for 24 hours. They say that stress makes your memory bad. Does is make you do other crazy things too?

We went to lunch Monday while we were packing to move. When we got back to the house Brett was kind enough to point out that I had actually worn two different colors of Crocs flip-flops to lunch. I tried to sell him on the fact that I’d done it on purpose. He didn’t buy it. Oh well…

While I was waiting to leave this morning I saw this article on 6 hot new fashion trends. I looked at the photo with the article  and asked myself if I knew anybody, of any age, who would wear those clothes. The answer is “NO”. I’ve never claimed to be a fashion plate, or a clothes horse. Looking at these clothes, I guess I never will be.

I especially like the second one. It looks like an oversized T- shirt that I wore once when I was really sick. The neck on it got all stretched out because I pulled at it so I didn’t barf all over it when I was throwing up. Then it kept sticking to me when I had fever. I was sick as a dog- in bed for two days. When I finally got up and looked in the mirror I looked a lot like the women in these photos. They look none too happy to me. Maybe they’re just constipated though. (They probably don’t eat enough to keep everything moving right along, you know).

The blue outfit reminds me of the dress I made in 8th grade sewing class. We were actually supposed to model what we made in a fashion show. What could they realistically expect when you only had 30 minutes on the sewing machine 2x a week? It was bad- very bad. It was quite lop-sided. A-symmetrical fashions were not in vogue in 1965. It looked like someone on some serious drugs had made it. The night before the show my mom hired a seamstress to make (but not make too well) a dress for me to wear in the fashion show. Occasionally my mom really surprised me.

Anyway, I guess for now, I’ll just keep on keeping on being a giant fashion faux-paus. I just hope I don’t wind up with my picture in Glamour magazine with my face obscured or even worse on people of Wal-Mart.
