You can tell it’s a holiday weekend. Almost all the bloggers are taking the weekend off. Even the online news is a re-hash of yesterday.

It seems even the criminals are laying low, just hatching their scurrilous plans this weekend but not acting on them. I mean really, who wants to miss out on a BBQ with their friends?  (especially if it might be the last one you have if your plan sucks.)

Anyway, Doug’s off the next three days so I have to admit that I too will not be spending as much time at the computer as normal.

I think there will be a lot of sex happening all over the country, what with the three day weekend. I read an article about a couple who, unable to deny their passion one minute longer, did it outside.

Now I know just how much the thought of doing it outside here in the Houston area appeals to me this time of year. And for those that don’t know, it’s right up there with getting a root canal without Novocaine. With the average temperature in the mid 90′s and high humidity, slap and tickle is just behind swimming as my most popular outside activity.

For those that were unable to grasp my attempt at irony, it’s not popular with me- doing it outside that is.

However, there’s always the pool; but that can be dicey until the kids are in bed; and almost impossible in a public pool.

Sorry, meandering again.

At any rate, I know how seeing fireworks and hearing patriotic music can really get your passions up; so I’m offering this story to show you at least a less conspicous place to consummate your own “crescendo”, just in case you can wait no longer. And it’s free too. Just as long as you don’t get caught.

I must admit that I’ve never been to Canada in the summertime. Therefore I cannot attest to the stinkiness of the average dumpster there. I’m assuming it’s cooler there, so hopefully it’d be less aromatic.

That being said, if you do see a dumpster rocking or you hear moaning, you’d best stay far, far away. It’s probably not raccoons.

Just so you don’t think I’m singling out Canadians for questionable decision making. I wrote about something I saw at Mardi Gras a few years back. (I think it was actually more disgusting than the dumpster, which was already pretty disgusting.)

I just whipped up this symbol. Perhaps I’ll submit it to the folks at AIWA (the company that designed all the international symbols). I think it should be prominently posted on all porta potties and dumpsters as a public service.

You’re a hilariously sick person, Michele. LOVE the graphic, by the way.

Thanks so much. I wasn’t sure that anyone had really paid attention to it.

Or perhaps they were all delusional and thought it was a tango dance move?

        • Michele says:

I didn’t notice that at first, thanks. Perhaps if it’s posted in more places, sans the big NO sign, more people would be inspired to dance. That would be a great thing, except for me. Doug would still say his old football injury was bothering him. (He never player football.)

eeeewww….what about mosquitoes, and poison ivy, and germs???????????

I guess you could always wear a wet suit to prevent contamination and mosquito bites. Of course if you’re going to do it in a dumpster, the biggest contamination would probably come from the person you’re going to do it with in the first place!

  3. This is actually my first time here, really good looking blog. I discovered a lot of fascinating stuff within your blog particularly it’s discussion. From all the comments on your articles, it appears like this is really a extremely popular website. Keep up the good work.

  4. Good luck getting people behind this one. Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard. What are trying to say here? What do you want us to think? It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought. Anyway, thats just my opinion.
