This reminds me of the song “Hey Nineteen” by Steely Dan. Yes, it’s about cocaine, etc., but the real gist is the difference in their ages and how hard it is to connect. Linda Hogan probably is up on the pop culture stuff, but as said before, there is no commonality on things before this child was born. Whatever are they going to talk about when the dementia sets in and all she wants to talk about is her younger years? Maybe he’ll consider it a history lesson! It won’t last.

She’s almost 10 yrs. younger than I am. I fear I’ll be in those big-ass diapers before she will. Then we’ll see how well “for better or worse” really works out!

I think HE is the weirder of the two–what’s wrong that he can’t find a girl closer to his own age than his mother’s? And what on earth does his mother think??? If my son brought home a friend of mine, I’d toss them both out.
I predict this won’t last very long–he’ll tire of her and want some young chick eventually. At 21, most guys are still pretty immature, and he’ll figure it out eventually.

I’m always amazed by couples who have a huge age gap. I do wonder how they communicate. Their experiences are so different. I would think that it would be hard to relate to each other.

Cosmetic surgery will never be the answer to their woes, either, but they don’t KNOW that. YET.
