In response to the many requests on VN to see my new finery for my trip to the Big Apple, here is the photo I’ve promised. I notice it looks rather shapeless just hanging there. (It looks better on me.) But you’ve going to have to wait to see that! I’m sure we’ll take a lot of photos while we’re there. I just hope I’m not going to be overdressed. That would really suck.
BTW- The color on the bottom is not actually pink at all, but a iridescent deep blue-purple. In fact, the purple is so dark, you have to be pretty close to see the detail of the black stitching. It’s got a black tulle petticoat.
What’s sad is that probably after this trip my beloved frock will probably never see the light of day again. Not unless I get to go dancing sometime; and with Doug’s bad hip, (which magically flares up when he’s asked to dance, but not when he plays raquetball or has sex) that seems really unlikely.
Oh well, at least I’ll be able to wear it a couple of times on the trip, once to a party at the conference, and once out to dinner somewhere nice with Evelyn and Doug, before it’s relegated to my closet.
Since I really don’t know much about the city at all, I’d love some suggestions on where to go for a nice night out- not Donald Trump nice, but a place where I could wear the dress and not look out of place nice.

I think you should wear the dress whenever you like, after your trip!
Don’t be afraid to wear it in HEB or Kroger or the mall or anywhere.
Remember the days when people looked nice no matter where they were going. Unless your going to a picknick BBQ or bowling or the gym I suppose you could dress up any most place. Imagine the compliments you’ll get! Why go out of the house in gym clothes and Crocks when you can slip on your pretty shoes and dress and show off!
I don’t know anything about New York but my son found a great S&M bar there where you can get on stage and get a spanking for just $20 :)
BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I don’t know you, Sean, but I think it was just SO nice of you to tell Michele about the S&M bar. You forgot to tell her the name and give her directions to it, though.
At the RenFest they used to have an chain-mail show late in the day. It definitely smacked of S&M, women leading guys about on leashes, etc. I asked Doug if he was interested. Oddly he said no.
Sean knows Doug. I wonder what he’d think of Doug on a leash or getting spanked. It’s hard for me to even imagine.
I guess I could just wear it out and about. However, I think I’d be more than a little overdressed for my usual activities. I might just do that when I return. I think I’ll skip the spanking though, not that’s there’s anything wrong with that!
I would have to ask my son about the bar. He tells me that as much as he could have used a spanking that day he didn’t feel it was worth $20.
This dress is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see Michele in it in NY. As for the S&M bar, that’s just creepy. Yuck! People are certainly entitled to their personal jollies, but knowing Doug and Michele, that just isn’t their thing. Sean, your comments are often just a bit out there!
Doug on a leash? Just the thought brings on a terrible image. There he is in tight red leather with a hood and a ball gag in his mouth. And there’s you, Michele with a whip and a cat o nine tails wearing black stiletto heals, fishnet stockings and black leather.
Sean, it’s probably a good thing that Doug and Michele have moved away from your parents’ house. Meeting Doug in the driveway at night while on a visit to the homestead could be a exciting experience. He’s awfully big and although not easy to anger, I’d hate to be the one who provoked him. Leashes, stilettos, and ball gags, OH MY! I think is topic is closed.
Wear it well and as often as you like. It is very pretty.

I like it too. Thanks.
Oh, not to worry about wearing that dress. I once worked with a girl who got married and one week later she wore her wedding dress on the plane to Honeymoon Central just so she could get everyone’s attention and free stuff cuz it was their “wedding day.” GAG! So glad I do not work with her any more.
At least YOUR dress is occasion appropriate and very pretty!
