A lot of people asked me to keep them updated about Gizmo. I just spoke to the vet. Although his seizures seem to be better controlled, now his breathing is labored and his BP is low. She is hoping that this is just a result of his new medication. She also said that she didn’t like the “new” sound in the left side of his chest. Gizmo is spending another night at the ER. They’re going to run more tests.
I happened to see my next door neighbor outside, the one who recommended Carolyn, who did such a fine job with our furry pack. I went and spoke to my neighbor and asked for Carolyn’s last name.
“I don’t know it.” I was told. “I thought she was a good friend of yours.” “She is, but I don’t know her last name.” I went on into great detail about everything that has happened because of her. I never cursed, threatened or even raised my voice, thinking if I did, I wouldn’t get anywhere.
I told her that at the very least I thought her parents should know what she did and more importantly, did not do.
“Well, I don’t know anything about all this”, she said in a most uncaring way. She said she did have Carolyn’s parents number though, but wouldn’t give it to me. “I’ll have them call you.”
I’m holding my breath for the call.
Does anyone know how to track a cell number? I could really use that information.
Please keep up the prayers for him. He really needs them.

oh my god. Now your neighbor is being all stupid as hell about it. WTF. I wish I knew how to trace cell numbers. I will pray that someone here will be able to help you.

Mensa was never knocking at her door. However, she has raised two great kids, 18, 16; and I’d always assumed she was an truthful person. Now, not so much.

Michele, thanks for the update on Giz. Poor little thing, it makes my blood boil to think about the negligence of this young woman! I think definitely calling the Humane Society and/or the ASPCA is in order. It won’t hurt and may help.
The reaction of your neighbor is shocking, if she knows the girls parents, she knows their last name! She is just trying to protect her friends and I am willing to bet that she will never say anything to that girls parents. What a weak, uncaring person she is! You are right, though, if it was her babies, she would have had a completely different reaction. I just can not fathom what this girl was thinking!
I am still sending prayers up for you and your family, yes, that includes the pack, because they are family, too! How are the others doing today? I am hoping that they are improving with your tender loving care.

Hi Miss Magnolia. I’m still planning to get some type of justice for my pack. They deserve at least that. Blondie, Blackie and Daisy are bouncing back. At least they’re wagging their tails again and have some lightness to their eyes. When we got home, they all looked drugged. Little Bit, being small is coming back a little more slowly. Everyone is on a diet of boiled chicken and plain white rice. They get plain yogurt too, per the vet.
Their diarrhea seems to be resolving; but it’s a slow process. The vet said it would take some time for them to get totally healthy as well. =please keep the prayer circle going for Giz.
So your neighbor knows this family well and has their phone number, but doesn’t know their last name. Oh. May I just politely say, “Bullshit.”
I can track the cell phone number for you to a degree…. but beyond that you have to use a non-free service to track it to the person’s name. Although I’ve been surprised before by being given a name, so if you’d like to e-mail me the phone number, I’d be happy to play detective for you and see what I can do.
In the meantime, I’m still praying like mad for Gizmo.
