About 10 days ago the daily deal on Living Social was a month of unlimited yoga classes. Knowing that I can still most anything I set my mind to, I signed both Evelyn and I up for the classes. I even joked about having tricked Evelyn into going. I never shoulda done that. Today was …(Read More)

Doug and I spent last weekend working at a biker show;and I don’t mean BMX. I wasn’t sure on Friday if we’d do any good there. Kids got in free after all. I thought we might. We didn’t. It was God awful, money wise. But I met some really great people and got treated to …(Read More)

I read a fact I found very interesting. Apparently some women while visiting the gyno and laying on the examination table ( au naturel below the equator) actually have casual chats with their friends on their cell phone. I find that fact amazing, absolutely amazing. Is this a generational thing? Or is it just me? …(Read More)

I haven’t been invited to play a game of tag or any other game in awhile. I had to take Gizmo to the vet last week. He needed to get his phenobarbital Rx refilled for his seizures; and to do so, he needed to have blood work done. Apparently phenobarb can do liver damage; so our vet keeps a close eye on him. Before we left home I put a new …(Read More)

All right, all right. It’s Monday and time to separate the fact from fiction. To come clean, so to speak. (If you happen to be a newbie here, please go to the last post and you’ll understand what I mean.) So without further ado…drumroll please… 1. I took surfing lessons. I really thought the surfing …(Read More)

First off, please let me say a big thank-you to everyone who sent me such sweet comments about the loss of Simba. I’ve told Amanda about them. Don’t know if she’s ready to sit and read them yet. But they meant a lot to me and to Doug. Now onto new business… Try as hard …(Read More)

As I’m writing this I’m basking in the cool, dry oasis that is our house. The new AC was installed yesterday and by 11pm it was finally down to a livable 75 degrees in here. Needless to say everyone around here, especially all our furry ones, were thrilled. Blondie is back in the nursery with …(Read More)
