Those two or three of you that visit me on a regular basis here know that I can sometimes be a little self-absorbed.
OK.
In reality that’s like saying the Titanic had a small leak.
But today I’d like to tell you about a friend of mine, Melynda.
She’s a blogger too. I visit her place whenever I can. Her tagline is Where Craziness Abounds.
You gotta love that.
She’s a good egg.
And sick and twisted too.
(Well, not nearly as much as I am of course; but she’s still young and I’m still holding out hope.)
Anyway, the fickle finger of fate flipped her the bird big time and in the process has taken almost all her sight.
How she’s kept her sanity and overall happy spirit through all this I have no idea.
But somehow she has.
But Melynda faces yet another eye surgery tomorrow.
Her best friend Elisa, of ECWrites, has been instrumental in helping her get through everything she’s been dealing with. It’s great they live so close to each other.
Anyway, Elisa, Joshua from Vive le Nerd, and Fishducky (The fairy Godmother to Bloggers) all conspired to compile the first three months of Melynda’s blog into a book called Just Nonsense.
The proceeds from the book are all going to help defray all the monumental medical bills.

Don’t let that stop you though.
Anyone with an IQ higher than that of Elmer’s glue should be able to do it easily.
Sadly, that should tell you a lot about me. What can I say? The 60′s were good to me.
Anyway… despite the fact that most of the time it seems that the world is going to Hades on a zipline I still believe deep down that good things can happen so I need everyone to please get this book.
It’s a BOGO. It’s really funny and you’d be doing a good thing too.
And who doesn’t love a BOGO?
Good people, doing good things. I’ve gone off and bought it…

Hiya Desiree. Welcome. As you could see if you read about Melynda other places everyone most everyone else had a more earnest approach. However if I did that here people would think they were in the wrong place for sure.

I think weird is a good thing to be. Sorry, to hear about Melynda’s difficulties. I will download her book to my Kindle after I charge it up a bit.
