Hello from Austin kiddos.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

The good news is that we finally got here last night.

However we’d planned to arrive Thursday night.

But Mother Nature decided to bless the Austin area with rain- lotsa rain- Noahesque rain; and there was no point in heading up here just to sit in a hotel room for two days with no chance to make any money selling ECOFAB goodies.

Of course Doug woulda been thrilled to be away from home with nothing to do but wait; but when I’m super stressed slap n tickle is the last thing on my mind. How is it that guys can just turn off the stress and focus everything on the physical like that? It’s like they can just flip a switch or something.

Amazing…

Anyway, all the outdoor events had been cancelled. And it wasn’t that it was just wet. It was cold too- in the low 40′s; and no one wants to be out and about in that. It was nasty.

I saw this on a friend’s Facebook page:

No truer words exist.

But Texas weather is like that. It’s still rainy and cool this morning. It’s supposed to be sunny and 80 tomorrow.

When we got into town I gave Brett a call. He was DJing at Shangri-La for the Lamebook party.

You might remember I’d been there before, a couple of years ago.

I never pass up a chance to see my furry kiddo, even if we have to almost scream at each other to be heard because the music he was playing was loud enough to register on a seismometer.

After that we went on the hotel. I assembled earrings and Doug inserted clock mechanisms into our shaped LP’s. (No  swinging from the chandeliers last night, just more work.) We now also have wall art shaped like the adapters you have to use to play an old 45.

For you truly young ones out there you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. I will  illustrate:

I was going to post a photo of one of our new pieces today. However, I’m not putting them out til the rain is over; so you’ll just have to wait on that.

Hopefully it should start clearing starting about noon. So we’re going today and setting up. We should be there about 11 or so. And then when the weather clears we’ll be ready.

The bad news is that Maria’s closes at 2pm today. So after that I’ll have to find somewhere else for us to go.

Then we’ll be back at Maria’s Monday morning set up ready to go at 8am again. We’ll be there til 3. After that we’ll relocate again.

So I guess that’s it for now. I’m gonna try to take photos and post every day while we’re here. (Don’t know how much time I’ll have to go visiting though so don’t be surprised if you don’t see me at your place.)

I’ll be tweeting as Ecofab. So if you want to know exactly where we’ll be check out our Ecofab Facebook page or just watch for my tweets. If everyone could tell their friends where we’ll be every day I’d appreciate it. This weather has really thrown us way behind and we really need to sell lots while we’re here.

In the meantime though I want to share something.

It’s helped me a lot. They’re words to live by…

(I know I probably just saved some of you a lot of $$.)

So if any of you are in Austin for SxSW please stop by and say hi.

Se ya soon.
