I just heard that Anderson Cooper, CNN anchor and former object of desire for many women, (now object of desire for many men, after recently coming out as gay) proclaimed that he only washes his jeans every 3 months.
And apparently when he does finally wash them he wears them into the shower then washes them with a bar of soap while wearing them.
Did this inspire a “Ewwwww” or “Uh, ok” from you?
Assuming he always wore Underoos under his jeans I’d probably fall into the “Uh, ok” side. It isn’t something I’d choose do; but to each their own.
If not then Ewwww.
Anyway I’m sure his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt, would be spinning like a top at the thought of his laundry habits, were she still alive of course.
Hoda Kotb on the Today Show mentioned this morning how when she first buys a pair of jeans they are so tight she has to lay down on the bed to zip them.
Really? –these days?
Hoda is 48.
I will admit that once in a great while, many decades ago, I did wear uber snug jeans, which required me to put one of these through the pull to get them zipped–
Having hair like Little Lulu I have no idea why I ever needed hot rollers in the first place; but I see that I’m rambling yet again.
Looking back now, I can’t imagine why I ever wore tight pants. There isn’t anything located South of the Equator that was ever, at any time, considered my best feature.) I was never one to have Bootylicious splashed across my derriere.
Still I occasionally did wear tightish jeans back then; but in my defense I was in my 20′s and designer jeans had just made the scene– and I never wore them so tight you could read the date on a dime or get an STD from them; and I always, always wore undies- clean undies just in case
I mean, what if you were in a wreck?
You always had to have on clean undies so said my mom; not that’s that a bad thing of course.
From the time I was old enough to understand the spoken word my mom burned the whole clean undies thing into my brain– that and make sure you’re home on time so we don’t think you’re dead in a ditch; but I see I’m rambling yet again.
Anyway, the point is everyone wore tight jeans back then.
But now I’m wondering though, are jeans that tight the norm for women in 2012, almost 2013?
As a public service I haven’t worn tight jeans since forever; not that I wear pajama jeans either though. I fall somewhere in between; but does that mean I need to be featured on What Not to Wear?
That was a rhetorical question.
But now the question of the day for you- just how often do you wash your jeans– after every wearing, every two, every three, bi- monthly, monthly?
What’s your wash schedule?
